Our vision at Tiny Town, was to add a calm, welcoming space to our indoor play centre. A space where parents will feel comfortable bringing their babies and children. There are many benefits of a Sensory Space for your little ones. Our Sensory Play Area in Chesterfield is a calming and soothing space. Children and babies can explore, developing essential skills. Our Sensory Play Area promotes relaxation and reduces stress for children.

Magical Lights

We have aimed to create calming visuals throughout our Sensory Play Area in Chesterfield. The room is dark, to create a cosy and calming atmosphere. The colour changing fibre optic lights create a mesmerising display for chilren to watch. As well as the light up resources, cushions, glowing cube and hanging light up Spangalorb! Our Sensory Play Area is Space themed, so look around the room and you will see the planets, stars and the galaxy painted on the walls! Children can learn all about the solar system in our Sensory Play Area in Chesterfield.

Sensory Play

We have lots of sensory toys and resources in our Sensory Play Area! The light up bricks can be stacked up on eachother, reinforcing a child’s motor skills. The sensory balls light up in different colours to enhance a childs visual senses, and each have a different texture, to enhance touch and feel. Watch the cogs glow brightly with colour as children twist and turn them. The glowing stacking rings help enhance colour recognition skills as children can name each colour as they are stacked. This stacking action also promotes motor skills for a child. Children can explore the different textures of each ring. Little hands can grasp the light up coloured batons, developing fundamental fine motor skills for children.

A Cosy Space

It was important to us that we created a cosy atmosphere within our Sensory Play Area in Chesterfield. The large, memory foam rug is perfect for little ones as it’s very soft and padded. This makes it ideal for tummy-time for babies. Tummy-time improves a baby’s ability to move and control their muscles. Galaxy themed cushions and star pillows are dotted around our Sensory Play Area, giving everyone a comfortable place to sit and lounge. Little ones can crawl around on the soft floor and lay on the large beanbags, taking in all the magical lights and visuals.
